Event Details
TAAMN has organized camping events at Camp Shanimeau in the past
summers. Almost everyone enjoyed. TAAMN would like to organize an event
again this year during the weekend of July 22nd to July 24th.
The price for last year is: $85 for adults, $55 for kids
age 4-12, and no charge for kid 0-3. The estimated price for this year will be announced soon. This covers lodging, four meals,
and the use of camp facilities. Depending on the number of people, there
can be a small adjustment of the price (there is a minimum charge) and
we will let you know then. The camp provides three meals Saturday and
one meal Sunday. You can also bring
your favorite snacks, bottle water, fruits, poker cards, chess, etc. No
alcoholic drink is allowed.
Poplar Ridge is a dorm style cabin. It has 10 rooms with bunk
beds. Bed mattress is provided but no bedding. Seven to eight families
with young children can have individual rooms (up to five persons each).
You need request when register. Young couples and singles will split
into male and female groups and live in two large rooms. Room assignment
will be done before arrival. Shower in this building likes those in
Lifetime. You need bring blanket/sleeping bags, pillows, shower towels,
and personal toiletry. The cabin has a large meeting room for group
activities, e.g., poker games.
The camp has many on site activities such as horseback-riding,
shooting, high/low rope courses, climbing wall, fishing, canoeing, camp
fire and star-watching. You can bring basketballs and volleyballs. There
is a golf course 5 miles from the camp. If you’d like play a 9-hole
game in the early morning, bring your clubs. Some activities require
prior reservation and an additional fee ($10 to 20 past years), such as
horseback riding, hay riding, high/low ropes course, campfire
dough-nuts, indoor climbing wall, and riflery (exciting for kids).
Please register based on your room requirement. Due to limited capacity
and high demand, we will accept applications on first come-first serve
base. You may invite your friends.
